Pre­dic­ti­on of PV Self-con­sump­ti­on in Buil­dings - Si­mu­la­ti­on Re­sults and Tool De­ve­lop­ment

Eva­lua­ting and op­ti­mi­zing the pos­si­bi­li­ty of us­ing the PV yield di­rect­ly in the buil­ding is chal­len­ging. A spreads­heet-ba­sed ana­ly­sis of PV and ther­mal and/or elec­tric en­er­gy sto­ra­ge at buil­ding le­vel is de­ve­lo­ped ba­sed on ex­ten­si­ve buil­ding and sys­tem si­mu­la­ti­ons us­ing re­fe­rence buil­dings.

Stre­am­li­ne Com­plex PHPP Mo­de­ling Work­flows Us­ing the New 'Ho­ney­bee-PH'

Ho­ney­bee-PH is a new free, open-sour­ce soft­wa­re tool­kit de­si­gned to help Pas­si­ve Hou­se prac­ti­tio­ners ma­na­ge com­plex buil­ding da­ta mo­re ef­fi­cient­ly. This tool­kit al­lows PHPP mo­de­lers to re­du­ce mo­del ti­me, im­pro­ve mo­del fle­xi­bi­li­ty, and li­mit er­rors si­gni­fi­cant­ly when used as part of BIM work­flow.

PH Li­ve Sync is an add-in for Au­to­desk® Re­vit® al­lo­wi­ng two-way li­ve syn­cing of da­ta bet­ween the Pas­si­ve Hou­se Plan­ning Packa­ge (PHPP) and the Buil­ding In­for­ma­ti­on Mo­del (BIM) gi­ving de­si­gn­ers a new sim­ple, ac­cu­ra­te, and ef­fi­cient work­flow for their Pas­siv­haus pro­jects.

La­test De­ve­lop­ments in de­si­gn­PH 

This present­a­tion will give an in­sight in­to the latest de­vel­op­ments in design­PH which in­clude: Fur­ther align­ment with the PHPP cal­cu­la­tion meth­od­o­logy, by em­ploy­ing the monthly meth­od dir­ec­tly in design­PH. This will give a bet­ter par­ity of res­ults between design­PH and PHPP even­tu­ally al­low us to as­sess cool­ing de­mand and in­tro­duce over­heat­ing warn­ings. De­sign­ers will be able to fur­ther ev­al­u­ate their designs dir­ec­tly in design­PH be­fore ex­port­ing to PHPP. Some new pos­sib­il­it­ies for dis­play­ing con­tex­tu­al in­form­a­tion dir­ec­tly in the mod­el view­port, us­ing a new fea­ture of Sketch­Up 2023. Entry of PV pan­els in a design­PH mod­el.
