St Sidwells Point Passivhaus Leisure Centre St Sidwell’s Point is the UK’s first leisure centre undergoing Passivhaus certification. The frontrunner project opened its doors in summer 2022 and is very popular amongst visitors. It demonstrates how significant energy savings can be achieved for this complex building typology.

Innovation & Passive House Winthrop Center as Model for Energy Efficient Office Building Winthrop Center is a story of innovation, intersecting Passive House standards with a healthy building concepts that takes a new approach to development. Vancouver Fire Hall 17 and Clayton Community Centre - Post Occupancy Feedback Clayton Community Centre & Vancouver Fire Hall 17 are examples of non-residential PH buildings recently completed in Canada. Review of energy data and building controls system are compared to the PHPP results, providing lessons for future designs.

Office Building with Passive House and nZEB Energy Performance The case study presents the energy-performance design of the energy of the certified Passive House building, and compliance to the nZEB standard. The renewable and non-renewable primary energy demand is analysed and the main advantages of the Passive House design in nZEB office buildings are pointed out. |

Passivhaus Education Modules for Warm Climates The Eco Hub, designed by architect Sol Espoille and developed by Learnlife, is a Passivhaus certified pop-up learning space situated in Castelldefels, Barcelona, Spain. The Hub provides a scalable, modular, prefabricated solution to create healthy, comfortable learning spaces with good air quality.

HOTEL in a hot climate. Retrofit of a Historical building to the Passive House standard. First example of a Hotel in the South of Spain, in Seville, hot climate, with the complexity of being in the historic centre, preserving the façade and being a very small building (7 rooms). In addition, the air conditioning system is made up exclusively of a cooling floor, supported by cold batteries in the ventilation system. Challenges that Passivhaus consulting and design had to solve. |
