Under the theme "Passive House Worldwide!", the 23rd International Passive House Conference in Gaobeidian/China is dedicated to the worldwide efforts being made in energy-efficient construction and renovation. The recently published programme contains over 20 groups of lectures, including the opening lecture of the German environmental scientist Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker. This year's Passive House Conference from the 9th to the 11th October 2019 is the first conference of the Passive House Institute outside to be held Europe. Since there is a need for sustainable construction, especially in China, the Passive House Institute has become increasingly involved there.
The lectures are about airtightness and quality assurance, Passive House projects in warm climates and ventilation systems in kitchens. The design tools PHPP and designPH are also included as part of the lectures. The languages are in English and Chinese, but all lectures will be simultaneously translated into English or Chinese as needed.
In the workshops you can learn about topics such as airtightness, calculation of thermal bridges, as well as ventilation systems and windows. The two-day Train-the-Trainer workshop for organisers of courses for certifying Passive House planners and Passive House craftsmen also offers valuable information.
Like always, the accompanying exhibition is also a part of the International Passive House Conference. More than 100 international manufacturers will present their components used in energy-efficient construction and renovation. Additionally, do not miss the Passive House Networking Party at the end of the first day of the conference. This evening event is included in the conference ticket.
Excursions are also included in the conference ticket. Here you can choose between visiting the Gaobeidian "Bahnstadt", Passive House projects in the capital Beijing or an office complex in Zhouzhou.
