» Preamble
The 28th International Passive House Conference takes place at the "Haus der Technik" in Essen on 24 and 25 April 2026. The presentations will be accessible on demand for all participants after the conference. Furthermore, conference attendees can visit the accompanying Passive House Exhibition in the same building on 24 and 25 April 2026.
Additional options: On Saturday, 25 April 2026, the International Passive House Association hosts the iPHA Dinner which provides ample opportunities for networking. Furthermore, on Sunday, 26 April 2026, there will be building tours to Passive House projects in the surrounding area. On Thursday, 23 April 2026, additional workshops will be held. Tickets for the additional options must be purchased separately.
All events organised in or around Essen as part of the 28th International Passive House Conference 2026 will be carried out only if official orders regarding disease control measures and limitations due to infection occurrences are not opposed to a safe and proper execution of the event.
» Ticket purchase
The ticket purchase must be submitted via the online ticket shop. By buying a ticket, a contract with the organising body is agreed upon. The organising body and contracting party is the Passivhaus Institut GmbH, Rheinstraße 44/46, Darmstadt, Germany.
The ticket purchase is binding and will be processed in the order in which the purchases are received. The number of participants is limited. After the ticket purchase and the immediate payment via the services offered, an invoice will be issued which will be sent to the participant by email and can be downloaded in the online ticket shop. Conference tickets can - as long as there are still seats available - be purchased in the online ticket shop until 17 April 2026. The early booking discount can only be granted if the registration is made before or on 15 January 2026 and payment is completed by 15 January 2026. Only those who have paid the full applicable fees according to the selected ticket will be admitted to the conference.
» Cancellations
Until 15 January 2026, ticket cancellations are subject to a fee of 10 % of the ticket price. All ticket cancellations performed on or after 16 January 2026 will incur a fee equal to 30 % of the corresponding ticket price. From 10 April 2026 onwards, ticket cancellations will incur a fee equal to 50 % of the corresponding ticket price.
The conference ticket and all conference admission documents are non-transferable unless this right is granted by the organiser in writing. All offers made available can only be used by conference participants with a valid conference ticket using the corresponding personal e-mail address.
» Scope of services
The conference ticket includes access to all presentations given at the 28th International Passive House Conference at the "Haus der Technik" in Essen, temporary access to the on-demand session recordings after the event as well as free entry to the accompanying Passive House trade exhibition and the exhibition party on 24 April 2026. Catering during the event on 24 and 25 April 2026 is also included.
The hygiene, infection protection and safety regulations in force at the time of the event must be followed. Measures to be followed accordingly will be announced in good time before the start of the conference and can be adapted if necessary.
» Cancellation, limitation of liability
The organiser reserves the right to make necessary changes to the programme. If the 28th International Passive House Conference or the supporting programme have to be partially or completely cancelled, the participants will be immediately notified. Already paid ticket fees will be refunded. Further claims against the organiser do not apply.
» Data storage
For the purposes of participant administration and the implementation of the events, the data entered by participants in the online ticket shop when purchasing a conference ticket for the 28th International Passive House Conference and/or its supporting programme will be processed by the Passivhaus Institut GmbH as well as by service providers commissioned by it within the framework of the conference. No further data will be passed on to third parties. During the registration process, participants have to confirm that they have read and agree with the Privacy Policy of the Passivhaus Institut GmbH.
» Photo and film material
During the 28th International Passive House Conference and the accompanying programme (workshops, evening events, excursions), the Passivhaus Institut GmbH, its networks, its media and cooperation partners, and third parties commissioned by the Passivhaus Institut GmbH may take photos and videos of the participants. The photo and film material will be stored and may be published on the websites, social media channels and in the (print) publications of the Passivhaus Institut GmbH, its networks and its media and cooperation partners for the purpose of public relations and dissemination of the Passive House Standard. The right of use is unlimited in terms of time and location and is perpetual. The Passivhaus Institut GmbH may pass on the photo and film material to the media and partners for public relations purposes.
