IMPORTANT: It is expected that you are familiar with SketchUp and designPH. We will not give basic instructions!

Time Topic

Welcome and short introduction of participants

Conventions for drawing the model
We will demonstrate how to efficiently draw and organise a model for optimal designPH analysis.

Windows & doors
We will demonstrate and discuss some of the issues around entering windows and the different ways doors can be entered.

Defining TFA and the TFA categories
We will briefly discuss the entries in the ‘Estimated TFA calculation’ panel, how to troubleshoot and the possibilities for assigning values directly to surfaces drawn in the model.

Entering shading objects
We will cover the concepts of how the shading analysis is currently done by designPH and discuss how to drawing shading objects to get the expected result. We will also show a preview of some of the latest developments in the shading analysis.

Coffee break

Troubleshooting and auditing the model
We will discuss and demonstrate some techniques for checking the model and fixing some model problems that can occur. We will also introduce a new feature.
