The closest in­ter­na­tion­al air­port is Dus­sel­dorf In­ter­na­tion­al Air­port. Trams on the S1 line and sev­er­al re­gion­al ex­press and long dis­tance trains con­nect Es­sen with the air­port (about 20-minute jour­ney). The second closest air­port is Co­logne/Bonn Air­port. From there, you can take re­gion­al ex­press and long dis­tance trains to Es­sen (about 100-minute jour­ney).

Our event loc­a­tion "Haus der Tech­nik" is loc­ated right op­pos­ite Es­sen cent­ral sta­tion. More than 100 In­ter­City, Euro­City and In­ter­City­Ex­press long-dis­tance trains stop at this sta­tion every day. Fur­ther­more, all main tram and un­der­ground lines stop at the main sta­tion; ad­di­tion­al bus lines stop at des­tin­a­tions throughout Es­sen.
