Challenges and Solution of Complex Non-Residential Passive House and NZEB in China

The complexity of non-residential NZEB because of unusual architectural design, new construction form presents more significant challenges than residential buildings concerning influence of thermal-bridge and airtightness. This paper introduced two representative non-residential NZEB in China to analyse these challenges and solutions.

A Future Blueprint - How Passive House construction in China becomes easier as we speak

A summary based on the completed Tianjin Eco-City Passive House shows how future development in China benefits from lessons learned in construction, increasing product availability as well as regulatory guidelines and subsidies – accelerating the planning process and minimizing construction cost.

The performance-based design and operational analysis of X88 kindergarten

X88 kindergarten as China's first largest passive + assembly-type kindergarten, is a great significance. It also has some unexpected problems in the early stage of operation. The total cost of X88 passive kindergarten in November is lower than that of an ordinary kindergarten. X88 kindergarten provides "the first operation of the passive kindergarten" with great reference value for the cause of passive housing in China.

Study on a Passive House nursing home with solar-driven system in warm and humid climates

Passive House nursing homes can provide elderly people better indoor conditions with much lower energy consumption and will have a large potential in Chinese building market. Apart from the general information about load profiles, the behaviour of such a building in combination with solar-driven system in warm and humid climates was also of interest, towards a renewable energy supply in future.

Research and practice of passive ultra-low energy buildings in hot summer and cold winter

This study focuses on the establishment of ultra-low energy building technology system in hot summer and cold winter areas. On this basis, project practice is carried out and the reliability of the technology system is verified through long-term monitoring of thermal comfort and energy consumption.
